The post you’ve all been waiting for…well not quite yet! Tomorrow’s full route will be posted within the next couple of hours.
But MORE importantly, we want to remind everyone to bring some CASH (or checks) to donate to Family Crisis Services, Cumberland County’s domestic violence resource agency and emergency shelter.
Please come prepared to give $5, $10, or even $20, or whatever you can spare, anything is appreciated. But with the hundreds and hundreds of Santas, elves, snowmen and Christmas trees at tomorrow’s event, we can make a HUGE difference in the lives of people who want to be free from violence.
So be sure to open your hearts and wallets for this very important cause.
There will be specially designated Santas and elves collecting donations throughout the night. But it would be greatly appreciated if you made your donation as early in the night as possible.
To donate online visit the Family Crisis Website here: https://app.etapestry.com/onlineforms/FamilyCrisisServices/generaldonations.html
Please indicate that it is a Santacon donation!
If you have any questions feel free to write us a message or ask for Santa Brandon or Elf Jenny at tomorrow’s event.
Let’s have a lot of fun and do a lot of good for those of our community in need!
Ho, ho, ho!

The Official Portland Santacon 2014 Itinerary:
5:00-7:00 – Pat’s Pizza. Third floor, 5$ small 1-topping pizzas, $3.50 Frye’s Leap IPA.
7:15 – Group Picture (Monument Square)
7:30 – 9:00 – Oasis. Drink specials TBA. Jenga downstairs, Santa dance-party upstairs.
9:00-10:30 – Gritty’s AND Bull Feeney’s. Two bars, one stop. Swing between at your leisure. Gritty’s – $1-off all drafts. Bull Feeney’s – $3.00 Baxter IPA and Stella.
10:30-11:30 – Studio 55. They’re a brand new spot, and should help bring the Santa Party to a whole new level. No cover – they’re waiving it for us! Thirsty Pig is also ready for us at this time, and it would be a good place close by if you need a snack to make it through the night.
11:45 – 1:00 – Brian Boru. Come jam with Rhythm Inc. for some Santa reggae. Only for the die hards.

Only six sleeps until Portland Santacon 2014! Some important info for next weeks festivities:
1. The start time has been moved to 5:00 pm. So we will now be at Pat’s Pizza from 5:00-7:00 pm before heading out for the photo in Monument Sq.
2. Portland Santacon will once again be supporting Portland’s Family Crisis Services. Family Crisis Services is the domestic violence resource center for Cumberland County and operates a 16-bed shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence. This year, Family Crisis Services staff will be collecting cash donations, rather than food and toiletries like years past. Cash allows them to meet their greatest needs more effectively. Look for the elf with the donation jar. Please make any donations as early in the night as possible. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
3. If you’re planning to eat out, Pat’s will have a great set-up for ordering food quickly and easily. They’ll have an order window and pick-up station set up where we are on the third floor. The food special will be small one-topping pizzas for $5.

Here’s the official itinerary for Portland Santacon 2013:
Saturday, December 7th.
4:00-6:00 – Pat’s Pizza
Pat’s has reserved the 3rd floor banquet space for us, so head right up! This will be our dinner stop. It will be a long night, so eat up. Pat’s will be offering $5 small one-topping pizzas as well as the full menu. They will also have Sebago Brewing Frye’s Leap IPA drafts on special!
6:10-6:15 – Group Photo – Monument Square Christmas Tree
The photo happens fast (Sam’s a pro), so meet up with the group at Pat’s before we leave to make sure you get in the photo!
6:30-7:30 – Oasis
Santa loves life size Jenga!
7:30-9:00 – Gritty’s
$1 off all pints for Santa!
9:00-10:30 – Bull Feeney’s
$3.00 Stella and Baxter IPA for Santa!
10:40 – Group photo in Tommy’s Park
10:45-12:00 – Grace
Grab a spot on the balcony for a great view, but no yelling to the people below!
12:00-1:00am – Brian Boru
Only for the die-hards! Who can make it to the dance party?
If you’re in town before 4:00, there are horse and wagon rides at 2:00 pm (until 6) in Monument Square. It’s being sponsored by the Portland Daily Sun. And while it doesn’t really have anything to do with us, it looks like it could be fun. And a carriage full of Santas is sure to bring someone some cheer.

The first stop for Santacon Portland is going to be Pat’s Pizza (google maps link). We’ll be there from 4:00-6:00 pm.
To help fill Santa’s belly (nobody likes a skinny Santa) Pat’s will be offering small one-topping pizzas for just $5.00. We recommend you get to Pat’s early so you’ll have plenty of time to have a few beverages and order some pizza as we need to leave promptly at 6:00 pm for the group photo at Monument Square. Pat’s will be our “food stop” so make sure you get there with enough time to eat dinner. Santacon + empty stomach = a rough sleigh ride!
